How Did We Do?

Leo Francis Levangie, aka Francis Leo Levangie, was born in Braintree, MA, resided on Webb St. and Karlyn Road in Weymouth, and was released from the bounds of Earth on March 29, age 90, from Bellevue, WA.

He attended Sacred Heart School in Weymouth. He left high school in 1942 to join the war--he served with the Marines in WWII from 1942 to 1945, and joined the USAF in 1950, retiring in 1966.

Previous residences included Chicopee, MA; Mount Holly, N.J.; Otis AFB; Rhein/Main AFB in Germany; Denver, CO; and Flagler, CO.

Starting conversations with anyone was easy beginning with "Where are you from?" and enjoyed meeting many transients stopping at the 7-11 in Flagler by I-70 as people stopped in on their way to Denver. Lately he found out the origination of every nurse and doctor in Bellevue.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, formerly Betty Woods of Quincy, MA; son, Christopher Levangie; daughter, Clare Levangie Freshwater; three grandsons, Christopher and Steven Levangie, and Keian Freshwate; one granddaughter, Jennifer Wobensmith; and two sisters, Anne Carey of Needham, MA, and Edith Levangie, Weymouth, MA.

Leo's main interests and hobbies in life were aviation and automobiles.

His sudden passing was tranquil in his own bed at home after months of having lost mobility; he laid his head upon his pillow and flew away to a place beyond the sky without notice. We will always miss and love him.

Leo,

I will truly miss our conversations, I loved hearing all of your stories about airplanes, life, etc. Though I only knew you 5 years, you made an impact on my life. Rest in peace.

I noticed nobody posted any pictures of Leo, I would love to have one to remember him. If somebody has one, could they post it or email me? Leo was a great customer of ours at auto logic in bellevue. My email address is chrisnelson1980@gmail.com
