How Did We Do?

Scott Griffin passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 23, 2017 after being sick for several years.
He was born on November 19, 1962 in Lake Jackson Texas.
Scott was raised in Texas, moved to California in his 20's and then ultimately migrated to Auburn Washington where he lived happily for the remainder of his life.
Scott married his high school sweetheart right after graduation and they had a son and a daughter together. When they divorced, Scott made his way to the West Coast, and finally the Puget Sound region where he eventually met the love of his life, Stacey. They were together 26 years in total and were officially married August 10, 2008 in Ocean Shores, Washington at a huge ceremony dubbed "the party of the century."
Scott had many careers in his short life including bartender, male dancer, process server, sponsorship procurement for Gunselman racing, tanning bed installer/repairman, concrete finisher, custom concrete company owner, and was studying to be a classic car appraiser just before he passed.
Scott was the kindest and most giving person, always loaning things to friends, cutting prices on his concrete estimates, and going out of his way to help anyone who needed assistance anytime day or night.
Scott enjoyed cars, all type of racing, camping, long drives, fancy dinners, the shooting range, and any location that has waterfront. Friends were of utmost importance as he considered them his cherished family and loved to be surrounded by them. Although, he was not born in Auburn, many mistook him for an Auburn native as they had known him for so long.

Scott's life was a blessing, your memory of him a treasure, he is loved beyond words by many, and will be missed beyond measure.

CandleScott was the perfect definition of your Big brother! He had a heart of gold, and would go to the end of the earth to do anything for anyone! I was lucky to call him a friend! He never treated me like just another silly girl but treated me as one of the guys. We had a friendship for almost 30 years. I was lucky to run with the guys and do all the crazy stuff guys do! We would go for years without seeing or talking to each other, and when we did we just kept going where we left off. Ten years ago, I had moved backed to the area, and when I made the decision to move back to Texas he helped me come to that decision, he was the last friend I said goodbye to. Those couple of minutes standing outside talking, crying and hugging will forever be in my memory. He was a rock in my life, and always had the best advise for me. I will always miss him and his great big awesome smile, but I know that I have a Guardian Angle out there keeping an eye out.

Scott had big beautiful caring green eyes. Even in his last moments he continued to give. He gave a 67 year old man the gift of sight. My husband is and always will be absolutely amazing and the most caring and giving person I've ever known.

CandleScott-
Never selfish, always loving and kind
These are memories you leave behind
This was also proven by listening to all of your friends at your celebration of life
You were truly loved, your kindness was widespread, your heart was always giving...
You were a great husband, brother, uncle, and friend
We hope your path leads you to continued happiness with those you love that have gone before you
Scott, watch over us and guide us along the way
And for you:
Ours is just a simple prayer, God bless and keep you in His care
We will miss you, Scott

He would call Jon (dad) and me (mom) whenever he was around us. That meant a lot to us when he honored us with those titles. He always had a smile. I remember when he helped Jon pour cement at our old house. It was hard work...and yet you could tell they enjoyed working together. Didn't see Scott often...but will miss him still. You were very loved Scott.
