Mildred Francis Routt Stevens Searcy entered life on December 14, 1923 at 1139AM and continued until March 26, 2017 0525AM. Mildred started her journey with her parents Homer and Lena Routt in Hodgenville, Kentucky and ended with her son David Chloupek in Bothell, Washington. Mildred had 93 ¼ years to travel through this life touching many people's lives. Everyone said she was a good Christian woman.
Millie grew up in Champaign, Illinois where she graduated from Champaign High School in 1942. Millie married Clifford Stevens from Tuscola, Illinois while he was serving in the Army Air Corps. From there, they lived all over the world, of which France was Millie's most memorable. After her husband left the Air Force, they lived over 10 years in southern California where they started driving Semi-Trailer Trucks, then became based in Houston, Texas. Cliff passed away in 1982 and Millie went to work in the banking industry. Millie met James Searcy, and in 1989 they married and had an enjoyable 12 years until Jim passed away in 2001. A year later she returned to Champaign for 11 years until moving to Bothell to spend the last 4 years of her life with her son's family. Mildred was preceded in passing by her husband's Clifford Stevens (1943-1982) and James Searcy (1989-2001). Mildred is survived by her son David Chloupek and his family of Bothell, WA, her daughter Sandra Dornbacher and her family of Fort Collins, CO, her brother Clyde Routt and his family of Lakewood, WA, her sister Verna Coffin and her family of Champaign, IL, stepchildren James Searcy Jr., Keren Searcy, and Ginger Searcy Proske and their families of Houston, TX, and many nephews and nieces.
Mildred will be buried with her first husband at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign, IL at 10:30 AM on July 29 in the year of our lord 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Mildred's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
