Harry Paul Seese passed away at home in Duvall, Washington, on April 28, 2017, holding the hand of his wife of 62 years.

Harry (Tim to family) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harry and Pauline (Jelinski) Seese on January 4, 1932. He spent his childhood years in Deer Park, Ohio, moving with his family to Westchester, California in 1947. Harry graduated from Venice High School and entered Loyola University in the Air Force ROTC program. (He later attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where he earned his Juris Doctor.) Harry graduated in 1953 and spent the next four years stationed around the South as a jet pilot for the US Air Force. In Westchester he met Margaret Cathcart, and had the good sense to marry her in 1955.
After leaving the Air Force, Harry and Margaret made their home in Covina, California where they raised their family of three daughters. His career included Air Force pilot, engineer, decades in private practice as an attorney in Covina and acting as a Judge Pro-Tem in the San Gabriel Valley. After retiring, Harry spent several years living in Crestline, California before moving to Duvall, Washington, to be closer to his youngest grandchildren. Throughout his life he remained interested in a wide variety of subjects, was an avid reader with broad knowledge and was the family's "Google" long before the internet was invented. He was a raconteur who enjoyed telling stories from his life and experiences. In retirement, he continued with his love of woodworking, traveled widely, and took classes in genealogy, short story writing, and his last favorite pastime, wood carving. He was proud of his military service and his years spent flying. His greatest pleasure though was time he spent with his family, what he considered to be the best achievement of his life. This was especially true of his grandchildren, for whom no playhouse or tree fort (with patented pulley-system for easy delivery of snacks) was too complicated that he shouldn't build it for them. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret (Peggy), his three daughters Laurie Garcia (Frank), Kimberly Eldred (Kirk), Cynthia Stevens (John), grandchildren Michael Garcia, Claire Garrott (Gil), Tessa Eldred, Stephanie Stevens, Shawn Stevens, Lisa Witzel, Emilie Petersen, three great-grandchildren, and his sister, two nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

A private memorial was held on May 4, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Association.
