Robert (Bob) Eugene Krumwiede passed away on September 12, 2010 in Issaquah, WA. Born August 22, 1927, in Hastings, NE he was the third son of six boys born to the late William J. Krumwiede and Nancy G. (Larraway) Krumwiede. He graduated from Minden (Nebraska) High School in 1945 and enlisted in the Merchant Marines, after which he also served in the Army in World War II in Korea. After the war, he attended the University of Nebraska studying architecture. On May 9, 1952 he married Jean (Walker) Krumwiede. The couple then moved to La Mirada, CA where he attended the University of Southern California continuing his studies in architecture.

Upon the birth of his son, he went to work for North American Aerospace and McDonnell Douglas finally settling at Arrowhead Products and becoming their northwest regional sales manager. In 1968 he and his family moved to Bellevue, WA to continue his career with Arrowhead that spanned almost 25 years becoming one of their most valuable salesmen. In addition to his work at Arrowhead he designed and built homes in California and Washington State.

Bob was an avid art collector and loved visiting art galleries and various book stores to work on his extensive collection. He belonged to the Ukiyo-e Society and loved Japanese prints in particular. He loved researching his "family" and was successful in tracing his lineage back to England and Germany in the 1600's, whereupon his ancestors immigrated to the Maryland eastern shore. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his surviving brothers Keith and Don Krumwiede.

He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 58 years Jean, daughters Kris Kalberer of Bellevue, WA (husband Frank, children Frankie, Katelyn, Erika, Jack) and Kathy Shinaberry of Bethesda, MD (husband Ty, children, Layne, Taylor and Hayden.) Bob was sadly predeceased by his only son Craig, older brothers Wayne and Neil and younger brother Gary.

In lieu of a memorial service, Bob's life was celebrated privately by his wife, daughters and their families. He will be greatly missed.
