Micheal Bruce Kimpton, 51, of Lynnwood, Washington, youngest of seven children born to Lila Kimpton, finished his race and went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2010.
Mike was born in Medford, Oregon on May 2, 1959. He grew up in Central Point, Oregon, where he attended Crater High School. He moved to Everett, Washington, and graduated from Cascade High School.
Gracious in the battle with several disabilites, Mike had a ready smile and a great interest in many things, including computers, science fiction, photography, movies, and travel when he was able. He outlived his doctors' predictions by fifty-two years, and gave his heart to Christ after the nine-eleven bombings in New York.
He enjoyed nothing more than family gatherings and a good family joke. Private services will be held Friday, Nov. 26th, 2010, with a scattering service in the future. His ashes will be scattered in the San Juan's, as were his mother's in 2000.
Mike is survived by his brothers, Clifford Alldridge (Sandy) of Bend, Oregon, Robert Alldridge of Lynnwood, Washington and Tom Kimpton of Salt Lake City, Utah, and his two sisters, Lyn Kimpton (Spencer Adams) of Lynnwood, Washington and Karen McCashen of Everett, Washington. His parents, Robert and Lila Kimpton, predeceased him.
