How Did We Do?

Sven Olaf Gunnar Anderson was born on November 2, 1928 in Gunnarn, Sweden. He passed away on August 30, 2011 in Bellevue, Washington. Gunnar is survived by his loving wife Norma Anderson to whom he was married to for 61 years. Also survived by his daughter Laurie Jones and his son Michael Anderson, Granddaughter Kimberly Ehlers, Grandsons Matthew and Jeffrey Mooney, Jeremy and Justin Anderson, and Great-Grandchildren: Maddix, McKayla, Wyatt, Silas, Trace and Journey.

Gunnar was a World War II Veteran who served in the Navy. He retired from United Parcel Service in 1986 after over 35 years of dedicated service. His greatest joy in his life was his wife and his family who he loved to travel with and share stories. He loved to go on cruises and travel the world. He loved to hunt and fish. If you were fortunate enough to have Gunnar as a friend you would know how he always had your back and was very loyal. He was a very kind, gentle soul: the "organizer" when it came to his friends. He touched so many people and gave of himself to all he came in contact with. We will always remember him with love and respect. He will live FOREVER in our hearts.

To the memory of my cousin Gunnar.
I remember when I was a little girl,I was so proud to have relatives in Usa and I told my friends about it. And one of my dreams was to go to Seattle and visit you. And at spring 2000 me and Emma visited you and Norma and had a wonderful time with both of you, and Laurie with family. You were nice, good in your heart and young in your spirit, and I and my children liked you very mutch. I will miss you and your phone calls. Your cousin Agnetha

One of the most adorable, sweetest men I have ever met. Going to be missed more than he ever could've imagined i'm sure. Sending you all lots of love.

My Grandpa took me on many amazing journeys in my life that I will forever remember with a smile. I cherish the moments, stories, friendship and nature of who he always will be. I was blessed to have such a great person in my life. Miss you forever.

My father taught me so much about life. I will miss his stories and his unconditional love and support. He was always there for me and for my kids. God Rest His Soul!
