I was a customer since 1989. And soon after my first visit to Il Terrazzo Carmine, I became his friend. I used to bring him cigars. Loved the illumination on his face.
I wish I had told Carmine, just once, how much I liked him.

I met Carmine in 1992 and will never forget his charisma along with the great Italian food. Carmine knew I loved Italian cooking because I watched the Chef Smith show back in Wisconsin. Well, I just had to have the real thing, so I travelled to Seattle to dine at II Terrasso Carmine. I will never forget the impression of good will and friendship Carmine conveyed to me. Thank Carmine and you will be forever missed my friend.
