Eula Fountroy was born February 20, 1915 to Martha Francis (nèe Moss) and Edward Thomas in Bloomington, Illinois. After graduating from Illinois University, she wed William T. Fountroy in 1939. Her loving husband of 57 years preceded her in death, June 19, 1996.

Eula was a positive force and inspirational spirit in the lives she touched, sharing her wisdom for living, loving and caring for all. She never met a stranger and always acknowledged all she knew and met. Universally, her friends, neighbors, acquaintances and family characterized her as a "very sweet" person.

Her high integrity, consistent humility, ideals and principles guided her in her symphony of life. Her strong spiritual faith is exemplified by one of her favorite spiritual prayers...."The Lord Is My Shepherd".

Mom, we are blessed to have received your love and guidance that is ever present in our minds and cherished in our hearts.

Eula is survived by her loving daughters Patricia Mae (Wright), Wilma Teresa, Sondra Earley, and extended - family daughter, Ruth Cobbs-Clayborne, 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 nephew, 2 nieces, and a host of other family and friends.
