How Did We Do?

Vladimir was born in 1958 in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, a city on the East of Russia in a family of a military officer. In 1981, he graduated from Moscow Institute of Aviation with Master's in Engineering of flight & aerospace.
Upon graduation he started his career as a mechanic at a chemistry plant. He was quickly promoted to an executive post within the city administration of Klin, Moscow region. Vladimir was able to make connections and establish his career here over the following years. At the time of breakdown of the USSR he moved into private sector and became an entrepreneur. As one of the pioneers of private enterprise in Russia, he quickly became successful. He opened his own logistics and customs clearance firm, Laricx in 1990, primarily working with European importers into Russia. Vladimir was respected among his partners and competitors alike. Many came to him for support and advice for new start-up ideas. In 1999 he ran for the mayor of Klin. He continued working in logistics until 2007.
In March of 2010 Vladimir came to the United States for a new beginning. He graduated from the casino dealer school & worked as a card dealer at the Point Casino in Port Gamble for almost 2 years. Vladimir enjoyed his new life in a quiet town of Poulsbo, as a change of pace from the busy streets of Moscow.
Vladimir was a good son, father and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends in the United States and Russia alike.

I'm at a loss. My logic and faith allows me to happy Vlad has transitioned. I found the obituary by accident. I spoke with Vlad briefly before his transition.

What I have learned from Vlad can not be recounted without the most sincerest expressions of love. Love for truthfulness and accountability. I am indebted to Vlad. May the Creator bless him and his true friends and family.

In the process of our lives, we are to live to the best of our ability using our gifts to benefit not only ourselves but those that surround our life. Vladimir, not only was he known for giving his all, he gave it with thoughtfulness, and honor. In the process of giving his all, he did it with respect, and confidence. He always put other before himself, he was honest, pleasant, friendly, and in all that he did it with the gentleness of his Maker.
I had the utmost respect for him and shall miss him greatly.
He now has entered the Portal into God's presence with a statement from the Master Himself of "WELCOME HOME AND WELL DONE MY FAITHFUL SON"
My family's prayers accompany this tribute.

"Unbelievable" was a word that you said to me frequently. But you were truly unbelievable. You were a scholar, a gentleman, a wild and crazy guy, and most of all, a friend. Your kind smile and quirky personality will be deeply missed, and I find it hard to put my loss into words. You will be surely and "unbelievably" missed. Peace.

Vlad was always the consummate professional and the perfect gentleman. His eye always had a sparkle, and his smile would light up the room. He taught me a few words of Russian, and we always greeted each other in that language. I was proud that he considered me his friend. The one word I never wanted to say I now must say -- Do svidanya -- goodbye, my friend. Rest now.

To my friend Vlad...you are sorely missed each day I come to work. I keep hoping as I come around the corner I will see you standing proud at the table. The same games that brought our two lives together. I always admired your quest for knowledge about this new profession and looked forward to your daily "Robert, one question please".Your desire to become skilled at dealing is almost unparalled by any employee that I have worked with in 27 years. For this, I thank you Vlad. You are an amazing individual to make the transition from Russia to US and become a member of our community. Little english, no employment, no friends but VLAD determination to make a go of it. As you once said to me "Robert, I am now professional dealer. Thank you very much." I don't know of too many who could've accomplished what you did. Bra'vo to you !!! We will keep your memory proud and laugh at times we shared with you. Nostrovia my friend...when we meet again I will bring the fishing poles.
