Peter H. Rohn was born to Grete Rohn and Hans Weichnacten on June 9, 1924 in Vienna, Austria. He passed away on April 3, 2012 in Bellevue, Washington. He is survived by his loving wife Helen Rohn, as well as many former students and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Professor Rohn will be deeply missed by his former students. He was wise, witty, and charming, and always had time for his students. He hosted at his home the annual Chocolate Chip Cookie Party - the initials of which were a private joke during the latter part of the Cold War - for his students and former students. My favorite undergrad prof.
You always made me laugh. Heaven can use the levity.
To my wonderful professor of political science (international relations and international law), may you rest in peace and be blessed in the eternity.
Peter was a good friend and a fine scholar. We were colleagues at the University of Washington in the early 1960s and kept in touch through the years. I shall greatly miss him. My sincere sympathy to his wife, Helen.
We will never forget you, Peter.
