Lucia Angelina (Ramos) Schaeffer passed away peacefully on April 19, 2012. She was born August 4, 1942 in Seattle to Arzindo and Domatilla Ramos and attended Cleveland High School. She is survived by her husband, Gary Schaeffer, son Robert Mylle, daughters Maria Boggs and Suzanne Schaeffer and grandchildren, Coda, Trent, Steven and Ryan. She also leaves behind the incredible Ramos family, including sisters Carmelita, Marie, Molly and Rosa and brothers Adrian, Armando and Joe as well as too many nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends to mention, but as equally loved and important to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alfonso, Carl and Ernie and sister Cecil. Lucia was giving and loving and more than anything enjoyed the relationships with the people in her life. Friends were family to her and the most important thing in her life was spending time with family. Fond memories include Motown dancing, late night card parties, annual family picnics and lots of home-cooked meals. She was a homemaker most of her life, and spent her last few years of 'retirement' watching her grandsons on a regular basis, enjoying time being a grandma and spoiling them.

It was such a privlege to call you Aunt you of all my aunts reminded me most of my dad. Not to much was ever pulled over your eyes. Your dedication in making it a priority to keep the Ramos family all connected and your laugh was infectious and most of all your 1 beauty tip lather, lather, lather your face with vaseline lol. But guess what your a 69 yr old angel with no wrinkles lol. I love you Aunt Lucy and will miss you dearly. Tell Mike we think of him constantly
I never had a sister and Lucy became mine. We laughed and giggled so much during our time together and we even did some crying. Yes, she got me hooked on Bingo and we loved every minute we played. I will miss her so much. Life will not be the same without her. I am so glad I had the opportunity to talk and laugh with her 4 days before she passed. I love you Lucy and my heart goes out to Gary, your daughters and son, grandchildren and the rest of your family.
I am so happy that I talked with Aunt Lucy the week before she passed on to the Lord. We all will miss her very much and I know when I get to the picnic to get our spot, Aunt Lucy and Dad will be there by my side, while I wait for everyone to arrive.
