Patrick Micheal Healy passed away at UW Hospital on Friday, June 22, 2012 after a hard two-year battle with Pancreatic Cancer with his brother Mike and cousins Becky, Bob, Nancy, and Julie by his side.
Pat was born April 20, 1961 in Seattle and was preceded in death by his dad, Duane Healy, Grandma Cora Spychalla and Auntie Jackie Ashenbrenner. He is survived by his mother Bobbie, brother Mike, Aunts Alta May Vaughn (Marv) and Doreen Douville (Gary), Uncle Roger Griffin, and numerous "aunts, uncles and cousins."
He attended West Seattle High School and graduated from South Whidbey High School in 1979. While living on the Island he worked at Mutiny Bay Resort, and Holmes Harbor Golf Club as a greenskeeper. He loved to go camping, fish, dig clams, and trap crawdads, but gave them all away to friends and family. Woodworking was another great passion of his and everything he did was done with perfection.
Early on he learned to drive tow truck from his dad and later worked many years for Thor's and Columbia Towing where he drove everything from 1-ton trucks up to big-rigs hauling semi's. He also worked 14 years for McLendon Hardware where he drove their semi's and delivered lumber for Seattle Lumber until the housing market fell off.
Patrick was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in October 2010 and it took him from us this past June.
