Janna Theresa Weaver was born on January 7, 1948 in Seattle, Washington. She passed away on August 19, 2012 in Seattle, Washington. She is survived by her cousin Susan Dougherty. She will be dearly missed.
Janna and I became penpals after we connected online about figure skating in 2010.
She took the time to send positive emails to me, always encouraging me to follow my dreams and be confident.
We lost touch shortly before she passed.
I came across her last email to me recently, and I regret not replying sooner.
To her remaining family, Janna’s legacy, to this ‘stranger,’ is one of kindness, openness and appreciation.
