Glyn was born and brought up in England. His education began in a small school on the English side of the River Wye, then village schools near Oxford (where his father was born, brought up and educated). Walking to school through one of these villages Glyn used to pass the modest graveyard where Winston Churchill was buried. By 6 his flair for mathematics showed when he would solve problems in different bases by manipulating bottle caps collected by the class teacher from the local pubs!
After completing school at Wheatley Park Comprehensive, Glyn studied at City University, London, England receiving a BSc Honours in Aeronautical Engineering. He worked for various aeronautical companies in Britain for 5 years, then 10 years for Boeing until beginning his own company in 1997. TASS INC, Taylor Aerospace was Glyn's life's work and has since expanded to become a thriving international company with a home office near Seattle, and offices in the EU and Asia-Pacific.
Many will remember Glyn as someone with a rare combination of passion for engineering, creative entrepreneurialism and the ability to build caring and productive relationships in business. He was always strong, dedicated and entirely determined to build a solid and prosperous company - both for its own sake and as a support for his family. Those of us who knew him well knew that beneath his dry and sometimes sarcastic wit was a generosity and compassion that came from the heart.
Glyn David Taylor born on July 8, 1960 in Bampton, Oxfordshire, England, died September 6, 2012 in Seattle after a 3 year tenacious struggle with cancer. He will be remembered and missed by colleagues, friends and particularly by family - his wife Patty McCoy Taylor, sons Jarrett and Quinn and twin daughters Kiana and Jaiden; his mother Gail Wicks Taylor, his father David Taylor and stepmother Kathy Johnson, siblings Karen, Michael, Chris and Jeremy, their spouses and children; his father and mother-in-law Oscar and Barbara McCoy, his brothers-in-law Oscar Jr. and Dennis McCoy, their wives and children.
Glyn, your friendship and mentorship are sorely missed. I thank you and my family thanks you for your advice and support and the numerous lunches where your guidance was invaluable.
Thank you again and God Bless!

TANET
On behalf of the Taylor family I would like to recognise and honour the contribution that the McCoy family made to Glyn's life. They say you cannot choose your family, but Glyn certainly did in your case. I have seen the love, warmth and admiration you all gave to my brother and I am deeply moved by this. I also know that you were there for him in the darkest and most difficult times of his life. I am truly grateful to you for this - and I know Glyn was too.
My condolences to Glyn's family for their great loss. It was an honor to know and work with and for Glyn for the last 7 years. I count having known him as one of the things that made this world a better place. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as you mourn your loss.
God Bless,
Mark and Judy Grandstrand
