Patricia Ann Rongner was born on April 5, 1943 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Edie (Rasmussen) and Warren Steel. She was the youngest of 4 children, Bobby, Sherry, Penny. Her family upbringing was anything but conventional when her father died in a trucking accident when she was very young and then her mother passing a few years later (tuberculosis). The siblings were then spread out amongst family throughout the country with Patricia remaining in Alaska with her grandparents. She later moved to Washington and attended Lake Washington High School (one of the original Kirkland girls). She met her husband, Roger and was married in 1965 in Seattle, Washington. Roger and Patricia lived in Clyde Hill for the next 47 years while raising their family to include two sons, Robert Warren Steel Rongner and Ross Allan Rongner. She loved being a wife, mother, and especially the grandmother of four beautiful grandchildren; Thomas Joseph, Madison Amber, Nicholas Aaron, and Riley Alexander. As Patricia was accustomed to, she wore multiple hats of a wife, mother, friend, homemaker, as well as being employed at Seafirst Bank and Lakeside Industries for many years before being hired as the Bookkeeper/Accountant of Hectors restaurant in downtown Kirkland for almost two decades. She loved to travel with her husband from Tanzania, Mexico, the Amazon, Russia, and Asia (to list a few) and made MANY friends along the way. As you can imagine with Mom's upbringing she was always about opening her heart (and home) to family and friends anytime and taught many of us the lesson of "Unconditional Love". If your paths crossed "Pat's" you were truly blessed! Patricia unexpectedly passed peacefully in her sleep at the young age of 69 (she was closer to 39 in spirit) and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We love you Mom & Grandma!
