Robert Lyle Hoskins, Jr. was born October 8, 1951 in Seattle, Washington, the third son of Bob and Dotty Hoskins. He passed away November 19, 2012 at age 61 after an eleven month battle with brain cancer.
Rob attended Pinehurst Elementary and Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, graduating June 9, 1970.
Rob joined the Navy May 27, 1971 and was honorably discharged May 21, 1975. He was trained for submarine duty and served aboard the submarine U.S.S. Hawkbill during the Vietnam War.
He worked in the insurance field most of his employment career - Pemco Insurance Company, Farmers Insurance Company, and Audatex.
Rob enjoyed scuba diving, bicycling, hang gliding and kayaking.
He is survived by two daughters - Connie Rhoads (Doyle) or Paris, Illinois and Amanda Hoskins of Blaine, Washington, four grandchildren - Connor Rhoads, Cameran Tucker, Nicholas Sabin and Devin Pike, his parents Bob and Dotty Hoskins, one brother Michael (Kim) and a host of relatives.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David, in 1971.
