Nadine Evelyn Henry was born to Louvene A. (Hampton) and John H. McKee on July 24, 1919 in Tacoma, Washington. She passed away on December 13, 2012 in Seattle, Washington. She enjoyed writing, traveling, gardening, golfing and her volunteer work with the Pierce County Library, Theaters, and Fair. She is survived by her loving children Barbara Telford, Oscar Myre, and Eunice Godwin, as well as many other family members and friends. She will be dearly missed.
I worked with Nadine on her book about her experiences as a taxi driver during WWII. She was in a writing class that I led. Nadine and I both celebrated the same birthday, and our sons were both born on the same day (different years). She was a strong, creative, beautiful woman, and I miss her.
