How Did We Do?

Judy Linnea Miller was born Judith Linnea Lundh in Monroe, Washington on September 12, 1923, the youngest of three girls. Her parents were Oscar E. Lundh and Hildur Kristina Stenberg Lundh. Judy passed very peacefully to her new life on January 8, 2014 at the age of 90 in Edmonds, Washington after a brief struggle with cancer and it's complications. She was surrounded by adoring and honoring family at her passing.

The Lundh family moved to Camano Island, Wa when Judy was a child. She was raised on Camano Island and graduated from Stanwood High School in 1940. She was voted the most popular in her class. After high school she began dating the love of her life, Dean E. Miller, also of Stanwood. The couple was married in Feb. 1942 and Judy followed her husband as an Army Air Corps flight instructor until they were discharged from the military in 1946 in Austin, Texas. They moved back to the Seattle area where Dean earned his BA from Seattle Pacific University. They moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1951 where Dean attended Dallas Theological Seminary until returning to Seattle in 1956 whereupon the couple assumed the Pastorate at Preston Baptist Church. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1963 to pursue ministry opportunities and Dean completed a career as a Probation Officer until retirement. Judy worked happily and confidently as a medical records technician at the Antelope Valley Hospital, Lancaster, California. She retired in 1990 and the couple returned to Seattle.

In 1991 Dean preceded her in death; later Judy moved to Edmonds where she lived a quiet and blessed life among family and friends. She is survived by a son, David Miller (wife Valerie), of Florence, Oregon; a daughter, Janis Marie Spiro (husband Robert), of Edmonds, Wa and a son, Philip Miller (wife Kathleen), of Lynnwood, Wash. Judy had 8 grand children and 16 great grand children.

Judy, that soft soul, that gentle spirit, that quiet heart will be deeply missed in this world. She was so loving....so beloved....she blessed the world, indeed the universe, for over 90 years.
