Buck Osmer passed away on February 26th, 2014, with his partner Steve by his side. Buck was born on December 12, 1962 in Seattle, WA to Dean and Patricia (Clements) Osmer. Buck grew up in the family home in Port Ludlow and he graduated from Chimacum High School in 1982.
Buck will be remembered for his strength, wicked sense of humor, kindness, loyalty, and compassion. And for his smile. His smile was infectious and drew in everyone that met him. When he spoke with him he had the incredible ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the world. Buck knew that compliments cost him nothing and he gave them out freely to those he encountered. Buck enjoyed a relatively simple life in Seattle, enjoying visiting with family and friends, and spending time with his beloved dog Kira.
He especially enjoyed the beach at Golden Gardens and it was well known as his "favorite place on earth". His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his family takes solace in knowing that nothing was left unsaid. Buck had such a bright spark that the world will always seem a little dimmer without him.
Buck is survived by his partner of twelve years, Steven Grossman of Seattle, his father Dean Osmer of Kingston, brothers James Osmer of Chimacum, Danny Osmer (DeAnna) of Chimacum, Wade Osmer of King Beach, CA, Warren Osmer (Bonnie) of Chimacum, Jessie Osmer (Lisa) of Chimacum, Dean Osmer of Seattle, and sisters Shirley Sangrey (Bill) of Port Orchard, Elizabeth Osmer (Chris Wade) of Kingston, and Filina Niemeyer (Joel) of Seattle, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Buck was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Osmer.
