Age 64, Woodinville, WA, passed away peacefully, December 25, 2014, with family by her side.
Claudia was born on January 13, 1950 to Claude Curtis Doughty and Carolyn Morse Doughty of Dallas, TX. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1968 in Dallas. She worked at a Five & Dime Store before beginning her 30 year career at Southwestern Bell. Upon retirement she worked with her friends at Sleeper Sewell Ins. Co., until she moved to Washington to be near her grandchildren. There she worked for Ben Franklin Craft Store in Redmond, WA. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, reading, soccer, NASCAR racing, her book club and serving her church. She is survived by her son, Marc Lopez (Amanda Lopez) of Woodinville, WA, her daughter Christi Smith (Andrew Smith) of Madison, AL, her sisters Connie Parker, Carol Durham, and Cindy Thomason, and 7 adored grandchildren. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bonnie, and her brother Clint.
My sweet Aunt Claudia! She touched so many lives and created so much joy. A fighter til the end! I love the strength and happiness she conveyed throughout her life. I'll forever miss you!
