I loved Roger for many years. I met him as a candy striper at University Hospital. We became fast friend and remained close until in latter years we drifted away. I'm so sorry that I let that happen. God be with you my friend!!

Roger and I were great friends during junior high school. He and Mike Doss used to over to my house regularly. I still have a picture of me in the beret that he and Mike bought for me as a Christmas gift. I have fond memories of Roger and through the years have thought of him often. Reading about all that he accomplished during his life was so inspiring. The world has lost a wonderful person. My thoughts are with the Stone family.

Roger and I were the best of friends in grade school and junior high. Richmond Beach was our playground and we spent many wonderful days growing up together. After high school I was off to college, married and moved to Oregon. We lost touch but I have never forgotten Roger and think of him often.

Even though Roger {Class of '69} was a quadriplegic, and one year ahead of me @ SHS, I felt honored, when he asked me to wheel him across the stage to receive his HS Diploma. We had a few great years together. RIP Roger.....I have thought often of you over the years.

CandleI have recently learned of the passing my brother Roger Stone. Roger was 10 years my senior the youngest son of Wayne Stone my step father. Due to a wrestling accident I believe when he was 14 Roger was a quadriplegic and had to cared for by others he became an educated man dedicated his life to helping others though counseling. I'm saddened to say it's been over 10 years since I last saw him. I'm not sure what took him I'm sure it was probably an infection or pneumonia or flu or any number of aliments he has fought off through his many years. He was a survivor I'm sure he could have given up years ago but he was a fighter and was not about to give up on life he will be dearly missed. He's with God now and can again Stand by his side.
