After having lost a three year battle with cancer, Dr. Robert E. Zwink, devoted husband, father, best friend, and personal hero, died July 9, 2015, peacefully in his home with his family at his side.

Robert was born July 26, 1944, to William and Helen Zwink and grew up in Loup City, Neb. He attended Dana College in Blair, Neb. and then graduated from the University of Nebraska Dental School in 1970. Bob married the love of his life, Julie Spilker, in 1967 after having met in chemistry class at Dana College.

Bob started his dental practice in Edmonds, Washington in 1971 where many of his patients became like family to him. He was a long time member of The Snohomish County Dental Society, Lynnwood Kiwanis, and Trinity Lutheran Church. Bob was also a talented artist in stained glass, woodworking and stone carving. He loved outdoor activities and he shared a love of hiking, watersports, gardening, and traveling with his family and friends.
he is urvived by his wife; his son, Todd (Jennifer) Zwink; his daughters, Tamara Lund (D.J.) and Tara Zwink; along with six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William E. Zwink.

A memorial service will be held July 20, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood, Washington at 2:00PM.

Gift in celebration of Robert's life may be made to Trinity Lutheran church or to Seattle Children's Hospital for childhood cancer.
