Jacob (Jake) Michael Long was born January 9, 1997 in Kennewick WA .He grew up in Everett Wa. Jake was taken from us suddenly on July 30, 2016 where he was welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father.
Jake was a brilliant student. He graduated from Kamiak High School and attended the University of South Florida his freshman year. He was accepted and entering into his sophomore year at WSU. Jake had a passion for baseball that began at the age of 5 and he played for many great teams throughout the Seattle area, including the NW Bandits and varsity baseball for Kamiak High.
Jake was kind, caring and a friend to all. He had a goofy sense of humor, always bringing a smile or laugh to those around him, ready with a joke, impersonation,or breaking out into song. Jake cherished the time he spent with his family and friends and he was an amazing big brother to Maddie and William.
Jake is survived by his parents, Autumn and David Snider, his younger brother and sister William and Maddie Snider, loving grandparents Corene and Darrell Stocker, Michael and Victoria Long, Mike and Lynda Voigt, and Glenn and Shelly Hester. He was blessed with a large, loving family that included numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who love him deeply. Jake was a shining star in our family and he will always shine bright in our hearts.
"The mention of my child's name
May bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring
Music to my ears.
Let me hear the beautiful music of his name
It soothes my broken heart
And sings to my soul."
A memorial service and celebration of Jake's life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 06, 2016 at Calvary Chapel Lake Stevens, 9428 4th St SE Lake Stevens WA.
The family would love to have those who come bring their stories and memories of Jake to share. You are also encouraged to share your stories in the tributes tab above.
