Evelyn Louise Jackson, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017 in Seattle, Washington from complications of COPD. She was born October 5, 1934 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to the late Charlie Hileman and Winona (Sinsentaffar) Harrelson. She was preceded in death by her older sister, Ruth Bogle and older brother, Wilbur ("Buddy") Hileman.

Evelyn married Luther ("Wayne") Jackson on June 9, 1951 and they were married for 27 years before divorcing in 1979. She and Wayne lived in many places, including Mississippi, Spokane, WA, Phoenix, AZ, and Sacramento, CA before settling in Ft. Collins, CO to build their own business, The Dog House boarding kennel. Evelyn returned to Oklahoma in 1985 to be near her sister, brothers, and their families. She moved to Seattle, WA in the spring of 2012 to be near her daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters.

Evelyn is survived by two children, Dana (Mark) Cochran of Seattle, WA, and Dan Jackson of Wellington, CO, brothers Joe, Gary, and Kenny Hileman of Cordell, OK and three grandchildren, Emily and Holly Cochran, and John Jackson. She is also survived by sister-in-law Debbi Jackson Leff of Pittsburgh, PA and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

At her request, Evelyn will be laid to rest with her mother in Sentinel, OK at a later date. A celebration of her life will be held in Oklahoma prior to her burial. She will be remembered by her family and so many others for her positive outlook, quick wit, sense of humor and her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone around her.
