James (Jim) Edward Hargis, 70, of Federal Way, Washington, passed away, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at his home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 14 at Faith Family Church in Milton Washington.

Jim was born November 8, 1946 in La Mesa, California to James and Helen (Parker) Hargis. Jim was employed as a machine shop supervisor at Boeing. He retired a few years prior to his passing. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife Bonnie (Reynolds) of 46 years, daughters Jimma Hargis and Serena (Matthew) Swift, grandchildren Asher and Elliana Swift, sisters Peggy Ferguson and Rhonda McMillen, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
