Janet Mary O'Farrell was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 25th, 1947 to John and Nene Becklund. Janet peacefully passed away with her daughter by her side January 31st 2017 in Enumclaw at the age of 70.

Janet moved to Maple Valley, Washington at a young age and attended Tahoma High School where she graduated and then went to college and received her nursing degree. She married and raised her children in Ravensdale, Washington. She was employed at Rainier State School as a LPN for many years until she retired in 2005. Janet spent the last 10 years residing in Buckley, Washington close to family.

Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by both her parents John & Nene Becklund. She is survived by her loving children Jeff Johnson, Heidi Worthington & (spouse) Paddy Worthington, sisters Joan Read, Bette Boyle, and Kathleen Garrett, granddaughters Faith Worthington, and Samantha Worthington. She had numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews who will also mourn her loss.

Janet lived a happy and full life. She loved to garden and spend time outdoors. Janet dedicated her life to helping other people in both her personal and professional life. She was an animal lover and cared for many pets. She will be greatly missed by her two dogs Tex and Max along with family and close childhood friends.

A celebration of life will announced at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Tacoma-Pierce County Humane Society.
