Gregory Levi Stone passed away in Lynnwood, Washington on February 4, 2017 at the age of 78. He was born on September 8, 1938 in Burlington, Washington to Zerll Stone and Myrtle Elizabeth "Fae" Kirkpatrick. Greg attended Lincoln High School in Seattle where he lettered in track and football. After high school, Greg served in the U.S. Air Force as a Communications Specialist at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona.
After serving his country, Greg attended the University of Washington and studied Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Business Administration. Greg went on to complete the Executive Development Program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in 1987.
Greg had a long career with Boeing where he worked as an Industrial Engineer and a Manager of Sales and Contracts. Greg traveled the world negotiating airplane deals with foreign countries. Greg retired in Lacey, Washington where he enjoyed collecting classic cars, reading, golf and playing card games.
He is survived by his one brother Terll "Terry" (Merrillyn) Stone, his three children Sarah Rich, Ty Stone, and Michael (Debbie) Stone; step-son Mark (Kathy) McGrath, step-daughter Julie Watson; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Hello Dad, it has been seven years since you pasted. I still think of you and miss our times together. Occasionally I’ll say or do something that you would say or do and it makes me smile. It was a great college football season and your UW Huskies went undefeated to the National Championship game. You would have loved it!
I am still working on your corvette. In fact I’m replacing the rubber weatherstripping on the driver’s door. I thought of the story you told of when the throttle stuck while you were backing out of the garage and ripped the driver’s door off… I further found in the spare parts box an envelope with small parts inside and your handwriting on the outside of the envelope explaining the symptoms of the corvette not running good. I keep the envelope out on my workbench to remind me of you. I miss and love you..
Happy Birthday Dad, we miss you very much. I miss our times together working on cars. I have been doing some upgrades on your corvette. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you.

Gregory and Michael Stone early 80’s.
It’s been two years now since the passing of our Greg. I still miss him especially during football season. Mike J and I are working on his old pick up truck and my wife Debbie and I continue to talk about him... Rest In Peace.
My Dad was everything to me. Even though i did not see him as often as i wanted. I will truly miss him. I loved him so very much. He was so very handsome and strong. He taught me many things to help me in life. Even though i can not get to him to say goodby I know he is good hands with the Angels.
I have many stories and memories of our times together.
I remember when he and my Mom were still together and we lived downtown Seattle while he attended the U of A. He need a hair cut. His favorite place was the Barber school right down town off Yesler at the bottom of the hill.. It was a really old building. When we walked in all the students and instructors new him. He was a real people person with a really big smile. I waited in this huge chair for him. I was so very proud. He always made me feel like Seattle was my own. He loved his environment and new all the history of the people and places he was in. He like to share with me these facts and stories of the places we visited. He also taught me to fish trout. I loved those times.

Dear Dad, my earliest memories are driving with you in your beautiful 1960 red Impala convertible. We would later cruse "gasoline alley" (Aurora Avenue from Green Lake north to NE 185th St. in Shoreline) checking out all the car sales lots. My most fondest memory was when we together purchased my 1967 Ford Galaxy for my 19th Birthday. Thank you for believing in me when others questioned if I would ever do something with my life and encouraging me to go to college when others thought it was impossible. It was an honor you called on me to care for you during your last days. Peace be with you and God bless. Your son, Michael.
