How Did We Do?

God opened the door and called Lonny (family name, Bud) Trumbull. This journey began the middle of December 2016 with Lonny believing he'd experienced a stroke, having lost the use of his left leg and arm. He was diagnosed with two glioblastoma brain tumors (one on each side of his brain). He called upon his sisters, Glenda Gibbs and Lynette Barnett to navigate the unforeseen. Knowing Lonny's time with us in human form was minimal, we had an unspoken agreement and creed "this is about Bud, what's in his best interest?" We treated each moment special, not knowing if it was the last. Bud looked forward to Joe's visits, (Lynette's husband); their youngest son brightened Bud's spirits, Mitchel was a godsend. Even though our time with Bud was short, Lynette and I are grateful we joined him on this journey, through it all, we have heartfelt memories. Lonny answered God's Call Thursday April 6, 2017. A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Lonny was born March 30, 1954. He attended schools in Wasco and Moro OR and graduated from high school in Portland Oregon. He also attended Green River Community College in Auburn WA.
He was drafted into the military in 1973; the Air Force was his choice.
After his duty of two years, he moved to the Auburn WA area where he attended college. He found his calling as a cement finisher; it became his life occupation. Mastering the art, he worked all over the Pacific Northwest; three years ago his work led him to North Dakota until he returned the Seattle area after being diagnosed with cancer.
Pounder and Rastus were his favorite pets, he loved his dogs. The challenge of a bow and arrow captured his interest, as with downloading and watching TV series and movies. History was his passion. He was an avid reader. Lonny loved to engage in discussions, especially with his angels Kathy and Randy. While in N. Dakota, he worked with Tony and they became good friends. Tony is an angel too, as he was loyal to Lonny's needs when Lonny became ill, helping in countless ways.
Lonny is survived by son James and stepdaughter Tammy; sisters, Glenda Gibbs; two daughters, spouse and children, Lynette (Joe) Barnett; three sons, spouses and children; Marilyn (deceased); two sons and children; brothers, Dale Dewey; spouses and children; and Darle Dewey.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joann; brother, Larry; sister, Marilyn Benson; parents Lavern (Slim) and Ora Elizabeth (Beth) Trumbull.
