David was born to 2 incredibly loving parents, Byron and Marion (Cowin) DeHart on December 8, 1961 at Swedish hospital in Seattle. He served in the Air Force from June 1984 to June 1990 after graduating from the Air Force Academy. While at the Air Force Academy he met his wife Michelle Layman and they married on August 4, 1984 and were married almost 34 years. They raised 3 beautiful daughters, Samantha, Liane & Holly.
As a teenager David accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, and was a true light to every person he interacted with. He was a husband, father, friend, coach, therapist, teacher & comedian. His true love for people and life runs deep throughout his family. He will be missed and loved forever.
David is survived by his wife Michelle, their daughters and husbands, Samantha DeHart, Liane (Tom) Smith and Holly (Andrew) Shumate. His parents Byron & Marion DeHart; brother Roger (Pam) DeHart and several nieces and nephews
A Celebration of Life will be held for David at 2pm on June 9th, 2018 at Faith Church 25636 140th Ave SE, Kent WA 98042
