Lori was born on July 18, 1959 to Audrey and Roger Anderson in Canton, South Dakota. As a young girl, Lori attended the Hurley School in Hurley, South Dakota with her sisters. Her favorite pastimes included sewing and gardening projects and swimming in Swan Lake near her home.
Lori graduated from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, with a BA in Liberal Arts, and went on to receive a masters degree in music from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She married Richard Blythe in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 21, 1984, followed by the birth of daughter Briana three years later.
Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Stamford, Connecticut where they attended St. Francis Episcopal church. Lori was an active member and served as music director during her final year of attendance.
In 2003, Lori and her family relocated to Seward, Alaska, where they welcomed son Julian into the world. Four years later, Lori, Rick and Julian moved to Seattle where Lori received a graduate degree from the WuHsing Tao School of Acupuncture and launched a small practice. Those who knew her well will always remember her love of words, her ready laugh, her creativity and her undying faith in the benefits of a little bit of elbow grease.
