How Did We Do?

On November 21, 2018, Roger Wood passed away at the age of 83.

He was born November 25, 1934 in Spokane, WA to John and Mildred Wood. He spent four years in the Navy before going on to a long career with several Seattle telephone companies. In his free time he enjoyed sailing, hiking, and camping with his family. Another passion was being a member of the Seattle Seafair Parade Marshals where he spent over 10 years organizing Seattle area parades.

2018 was not very kind to Roger, throwing numerous medical challenges his way. Through everything, he never lost his zest for life. He always had a warm smile and handshake for every doctor, nurse or care taker coming to see him.

Roger will be greatly missed and forever loved by Charlotte, his wife of 53 years, and his son John.

Roger Alfred Wood, a long time resident of Redmond, WA, was born in Spokane, WA on November 25, 1934 and lived with his family in the Spokane Valley at Opportunity, WA. He was the second child of John and Mildred Wood, having an older sister, Lorna, and a younger brother, Stearns.
