Cathy Diane Mayes, 62, of Seattle, Washington, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2018. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 27, 1956.
She graduated from Captain Shreve and later received a degree in Business from Southern University.
Cathy worked for the VA Medical Center for 25 years in the Medical Records Department.
She was a member of Blacks in Government and had a passion for helping others, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Cathy is proceeded in death by John L. Mayes and Caldonia Snow Haynes. She is survived by her daughter Keisha Lattier-McKinsey.
To my dearest and sweet girlfriend Cathy, I miss you so much babe, thank you for being apart of my life, I will never forget you and cherish our memories together. RIP my lady. Hopefully one day we meet again Love You..
I also would like to tell Keisha and her family my prayers are with you all in mind. Its hard but God will see you through it all. I feel your pain. She was a kind hearted person who would give you the shirt off her back. Much love family. Etta
