Lee Donald Benjamin: March 13th, 1935 ~ January 14th, 2019.
An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, fishing, hunting and playing cribbage, Lee retired in 1981 after a 20 year career with the Seattle Police Department. Shortly after, he moved to Ajijic, Mexico. The next ten years Ajijic served as his "base of operations" while he traveled extensively throughout Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Costa Rica, France, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, England, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Paraguay, Chili, Korea and Japan. Lee eventually settled in Arizona in 1991 where he created a number of paintings that were inspired by his years of travel. Lee moved back to Washington State in 2017 where he remained until his passing.
Lee was preceded in death by his second wife Gene and is survived by his two sons: Lance & Lyle; daughter-in-laws, Ginger & Polly; grandchildren, Adam, Hayley, Connor & Troy; great grandchildren, Paige, Bryna & Anika.
