It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Maurice (Maury) L. Williams on November 25, 2019. Maurice was born in Hamilton, IL to Caleb Ozro and F. Elizabeth Williams. An Air Force Veteran, he met the love of his life, Sheila P. Hickey, on a blind date while stationed at Sampson Air Force Base, Geneva, NY. After an honorary discharge, dad finished college and went on to Georgetown Law School. While in law school, he worked at the U.S. Patent office in Washington D.C. where in his third year Esso Research and Engineering offered him a position with the company in patents and licensing. Dad accepted the offer and they packed up and moved to New Jersey. Dad finished his last year of law school at Fordham University. A four-year transfer took mom and dad to Washington State in the mid 1970's. After retiring, a love for the area took them back to Washington State in 1995.

Certified to pilot boats up to fifty feet, Dad and mom were passionate seafarers and loved exploring the waters of Puget Sound, taking river cruises on the inland waterways of Europe and ocean cruises that took them around the world.

Patrons of the arts and various charities Dad and mom loved attending the opera, ballet, symphony, theater, and museums worldwide.

Dad is preceded in death by his best friend and love of his life, Sheila Hickey Williams; parents Caleb Ozro and F. Elizabeth Williams, and brother Carl Williams. He is survived by daughter's Pamela and Paula (Steve); son's Todd (Erlinda) and Kurtis; brothers Dwight (Lindsay) and Roger (Donna) and sisters Connie, Sharon (Terry), and Metra; his aunt Dorothy; four grandchildren David, Stevie, Jacob, and Abby; numerous close friends and family across the country and his ever faithful German Shorthair, Max.

As per dad's wish, a funeral will not be held. Both he and mom requested that their ashes be scattered along with two of their beloved German Shorthairs, Konner and Hunter. Dates and details to be announced.
