Faye Alice Arbuckle Hall, 84, passed away to be with Jesus, on Friday, July 17, 2020, with family at her side. She had been living and receiving care at Snoqualmie Valley Elder Care in North Bend, Washington, for four years and had suffered from Alzheimer's Disease for over eleven years.

Faye was born January 9th, 1936, in Chelan, Washington to Spencer and Ethel Arbuckle. She had a beloved sister, Betty (Arbuckle) Hamar, who was six years old at the time. The family lived on various Chelan apple orchards where her father, Spencer, was an orchard manager. Faye had good memories of life in Chelan, being involved in her church and growing up on an apple orchard. Her father Spencer passed away when Faye was 9 years old. This meant that they also lost their orchard home. Ethel, Faye's mother, was now a young widow and mother of two girls. She took in foster children and provided care to them in order to support her family. When Faye was in junior high school, she and her mother moved to Seattle to follow her sister, Betty, and her husband Boyd who lived there.

In 1951, Faye and Ethel moved into a one room house next door to the home of Wally and Clara Hall in Kirkland, Washington. Wally's son, Wendell Hall, came to stay on the weekends with his dad and stepmom, and thus the friendship with Faye began. Faye graduated from Lake Washington High School in 1954 and from Columbus Cabrini School of Nursing as an RN in 1957. Faye had many glorious adventures in her days with her Cabrini classmates and loved them dearly. Faye and Wendell married in 1957. Susan was born to them in 1958. In 1960, Faye and Wendell bought their longtime family home in Edmonds. In 1964, they were blessed to adopt Marty at only 3 days old. Cindy was born in 1965.

Over the years, Faye worked as an RN and Nurse Administrator at various area nursing homes and at the United Cerebral Palsy Residence Center. She loved her work there and the residents. Faye was a faithful believer in Jesus as her personal savior and was actively involved at Shoreline Community Church for over forty years. She served in various roles of Sunday school teacher, in the AV ministry displaying song slides, and in her favorite group, the WM Ladies Sewing group. She and her friends lovingly made many quilts and other supplies for missionaries around the world. She was an amazing seamstress and lovingly sewed the wedding dresses of her daughters Sue and Cindy. Faye enjoyed travel and went on trips to Costa Rica and China. She loved to travel with her sister as they went on bus trips with Good Times Chariots to view lighthouses, covered bridges, fall colors and many other locations. Faye and Betty were travel buddies and the best of friends.

Faye was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also "mom" to many neighbor kids and friends of Sue, Marty and Cindy, and was a dear aunt to many. She and Wendell always had an open home for a visit, an ear, or even a stay. Faye was a very kind person, known for her warm smile and easy laugh. Faye was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2009, but blessedly knew her family until nearly the end. Wendell visited and loved on Faye daily, joking and singing together until COVID separated them from visits in March. We were blessed to be able to see her at the very end. We will miss her terribly but will carry her in our hearts forever.

Faye is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Wendell Hall; daughter Sue Von Cappeln and husband Michael; son Marty Hall; daughter Cindy Cruz and husband Matt; grandchildren Jordan Dyer and partner Scott Portman; Joshua Dyer; Seth Cruz; Keith Cole; Benjamin Cruz and wife Nicole; Joseph Dyer; and many beloved relatives and friends. Faye was preceded in death by her father, Spencer Arbuckle, her mother, Ethel Arbuckle Arnold, and her sister, Betty Hamar.
