Sam born in Seattle, WA to Sam and Violet Zorich passed on February 4th. He grew up on Queen Ann and was a star athlete at Queen Anne High. Sam was a tall, handsome man who never forgot a joke, had a hearty laugh, an even bigger personality. He made friends everywhere he went, was amazing cook and was 100% Croatian. He was a great salesman, had the gift of gab and was an entrepreneur at heart. He enjoyed his time as a commercial fisherman, especially with his dad and enjoyed fishing with family. He loved the game of golf and was a proud member of the Hole In One club. Sam and Barbara were married for 53 years and enjoyed traveling, family, cheering on their favorite teams and entertaining friends. He was an beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He never contracted Covid but we will never know how 10 weeks in the hospital without physical contact with loved ones affected his life. Congratulations on a life well lived Sam! You loved us well. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his children Anthony (Cindi), Julie (Bob) Diaz, Christopher, his brother Ronald, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 uncles and many cousins and friends. We are planning a celebration later this year. Please share a memorial of Sam:
So sorry to hear of Sam's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor for many years. Watched him throwing whiffle balls to Chris when we first moved in. Continued to be such a wonderful, personable neighbor. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Loved seeing him at Costco and catching up.I
We have lost a wonderful neighbor, friend, and fantastic conversationalist. Sam shared his polished kitchen skills adding new dimensions to our home dinning. He was always outgoing and added a new dimension to each day. His loss is truly be missed by neighbors Bill and Rose.
Barb and Family,
So sorry for your loss. Sam was not only an ex-cousin in-law, but a good friend for the last 60 years. We so enjoyed our too few visits during that time. Sammy was a great guy and a joy to be with. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences
Dick and Patsy Rovig.
