Born in Greenville, SC, to B. Felix(Oct. 1, 1931 - Oct. 30, 2015) and Edith Craft the oldest of 5 children.
Dennis served in the Army from April 29, 1974 - March 31, 1992. He had almost 18 yrs of service. The many places he was stationed are as follows: Ft Jackson, SC(April - August 1974)/Ft Bragg, NC(August 1974 - March 1979)/Ft Lee, VA(March 1979 - April 1981)/Ft Collins, CO(as a Recruiter)(May 1981 - June 1982)/Pusan, Korea(August 1982 -August 1983)/Ft Carson, CO(August 1983 - June 1985)/Sinai, Egypt(June 1985 - July 1986)/Ft Carson, CO(August 1986 - August 1987)/in Germany with his family from December 1987 - December 1990--Osterholtz-Scharmbeck, Germany(outside of Bremerhaven, Germany working in the Commissary)(December 1987 - January 1989)/Hanau, Germany(February 1989 - March 1990)/Frankfurt, Germany(March 1990 - December 1990) & Ft Lewis, WA(January 1991 - March 1992).
After the Military he worked and learned how to repair computers which turned into a tinkering hobby of building his own computer. He also worked for a Manufacturers Rep Warehouse that sold Industrial Hardware Items.
In his spare time during Tax Season he worked roughly 15yrs at H&R Block and 10yrs on his own going to clients homes.
Dennis met his wife Icle when both were stationed at Ft Bragg while attending a Labor Day church picnic held at Cape Fear Church of Christ in Fayetteville, NC. They got married on March 25, 1976 at Cape Fear Church of Christ in Fayetteville, NC.
Survived by his wife Icle, daughter Penny, son Scott, mom Edith, siblings Brian Sr., Vickery (Bruce Ward), Judith Alston & Jeffery (Marie), several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
He will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery (Columbaria Wall: 3BB/Row: A/Niche: 57) in Kent, WA.
A Memorial Service will be on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2:00pm at the Olympia Church of Christ where his family attends located at 3132 Boulevard Road SE Olympia, WA 98501.
