Frances Herrick Prichard, who loved to be called "Fran" by her friends and family, passed away on September 2 in Kirkland Washington at the age of 86 years.

Fran was born July 19, 1935 in Port Orchard Washington to the late Gladys and Sam Herrick. She raised her children on an 80-acre farm near Napavine Washington where she kept a large garden and livestock. She made root beer in the summer, delicious pies for the holidays and artistic cake designs.

Fran also loved to camp and one time she caught a record sized King Salmon almost as big as her. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and making scrapbooks for her children. Fran spent her later years in Grand Mound Washington where she shared a house with the late Alan Clevenger.

Fran was preceded in death by her son Bryan and daughter Pamela. She is survived by her son Terry Prichard, daughter LaVonne Boyd, and grandson Jevon.

There will be a graveside memorial service for Fran on September 25 at 11 am, Claquato Cemetery.
