William "Greg" Morton passed peacefully the night of Veterans Day, 2021.
He was seventy-four.
Greg grew up on the eastside, in Bellevue, when it was a rural community of
farms and shops and houses with big yards.
He enjoyed and excelled at physical sports, anything with a ball; from baseball to golf.
Greg graduated from Sammamish H.S. then, while in college he worked construction,
followed by a term of service in the U. S. Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne.
Upon discharge, he drove semi-truck for Garfield Transfer in Seattle, hauling freight
all around Washington state.
Later he went to work for the Boeing Company as a dispatcher in their transportation service
Until his retirement.
Greg is survived by his wonderful and supportive wife, Sue, along with James, Mira
and grandchildren: Natalie and Nathan. In addition to his sister Shari Cook and
brothers Gary and Grant there is also a very long list of friends and extended family.
A memorial gathering of celebration will be announced forthcoming.
RIP my big brother Greg. I can't believe you left us so soon. So many memories are flooding my mind. I love and miss you. Love your baby sister Shari 🙏
