Our beloved baby sister, Heidi Rae Hoffman passed away peacefully on December 11 in Kirkland, WA. She was a ray of sunshine to us and our hearts are broken.
Heidi was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She loved her hometown and was well known and respected as a leader in the community. She was active in local politics, gay rights and many charities. Heidi managed her own small insurance office for many years and she also owned a local bar/restaurant. Heidi was known for her generosity, kindness and incredible humor.
After selling her bar she relocated to Phoenix to live with family there and then moved up to Washington where she lived in Kirkland with her sister until the end of her days.
Heidi touched so many lives and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her four siblings, large extended family and many friends. She will be greatly missed.
Heidi's family will have celebrations of her life in both Long Beach and Kirkland later in the new year.
We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to the staff at Evergreen Hospice Center for their kind and loving care of Heidi during her stay there.
Heidi was my baby sister by 10 years. My memories include so many shared experiences, how different life will be without her. I know the Seahawks & the Dodgers lost one of their best fans. I will always remember going to the world series together to see the Dodgers vs the Yankees, what a wonderful time we had. As you reunite with all of our family & friends in heaven please know I will always love you Heidi girl!
