1947 - 2022
Michael Stephen Luberts, 74, died February 13, 2022, at his home in Spanaway, WA, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Born in Renton, WA, to Alfred J. and Ruth (Richardson) Luberts, Michael graduated from Renton H.S. and attended Green River CC and Central WA State College.

He served with the US Navy and married Louise Drollinger in April of 1970. They were married for 52 wonderful years. Carpenter by trade, his strong work ethic included many building jobs including Bethel & Highline S.D. and the construction of his own home where his two daughters were happily raised.

A member of Spanaway Lutheran and Our Savior Lutheran, Michael loved to help anyone he could and was involved in many ministries. He took great pleasure in developing a community garden at Spanaway Lutheran. You could often find him gardening or off on a trip in their motorhome. Being with his family and friends was a high priority and he delighted in the time he had with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Kathy Letson.

He is survived by his loving wife Louise and his two daughters, Sara Plumb (husband Randy) and Amy Baker (husband Bob); grandchildren Justin (wife Britney), Megan, and Caleb Plumb, Madison and Olivia Baker; his brothers Al Luberts and Vic Peterson, sisters Jean Livingston, Patty Tissue, Judi Severson and Trish Gamby; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, Feb 26, 2022 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Tacoma, WA, with reception to follow the service. The family suggests memorials to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of WA.
