Born January 31, 1932 in Seattle, WA, to Gustav and Olga Bredereck. He passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 15, 2022.
A Seattle native, Joe graduated from O'Dea High School in 1951. He went on to serve his country as a U.S. Navy Aircrewman from 1951 to 1961.
Joe was an avid outdoorsman who loved endless camping and hunting adventures - some of his favorite places to visit with family and friends were Lake Connor, Leavenworth, Lake Bonaparte, and Yellowstone. In retirement he took up photography as a passion hobby, taking countless pictures at the zoo and of family.
He was a loving brother, father, and grandfather. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, five sisters and his loving life partner Helen Montgomery. He is survived by his two sons; Joseph (Mary), Richard (Deborah), and his seven grandchildren; Leah Stewart (Chase), Mackenzie (Kevin), Hannah Stevens (Andrew), Josh Keene (Kylie), Kristie Pechenyuk (Andrew), Katie Cushing (Patrick) and Caleb Keene.
A memorial and open house will be held for anyone wanting to pay their respects. Please check back for date and time.
Joe's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those he interacted with for years to come.
