How Did We Do?

Born in Seattle and raised in Ballard, Connie Lou Wahlin was the oldest child of Bernard and Pearl Wahlin. Connie had the most giving heart. After Connie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997, she devoted her life to giving back to her community. For the last 25 years Connie has been volunteering at Evergreen Hospital in the Breast Cancer unit, bringing peace and light to all that met her. Connie was active in her church, Washington Cathedral. She could be found there every Sunday, dressed up in her favorite Seahawks or kitty gear, greeting everyone with a smile on her face. All who had the opportunity to know Connie said she had the most giving heart and lit up any room she entered. Connie spent the last 16 years living at Trilogy in Redmond. She formed many relationships and enjoyed participating in and planning events within the community. Connie lived her life to the fullest. She was always traveling with friends, spending time with her family, loving on her kitties, and attending Seattle Sports (Mariners and Seahawks) games.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Pearl Wahlin (Olson), her brother Ronald Wahlin and former husband and lifelong friend James Hagar. Connie is survived by her stepchildren Holly Gangle (Hagar), Brady Hagar, and Brett Hagar, her grandchildren Evan Gangle, Jerome Gangle, great grandchild Mark Pugh, her niece Stacilynn Rambow, nephews Chad Chigbrow, Sean Wahlin and Tyler Wahlin, great niece Stella Chigbrow and great nephews Connor Wahlin, Sawyer Wahlin and Tucker Wahlin and last, but not least her cat Simba.
