Freda "Teed" Schlesselman (99), of Bellevue, WA, was born in Newton, Iowa, to John and Cora Mikulasek, youngest of 4 daughters. She met her lifelong husband "Dutch" at the University of Iowa, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. They graduated with BA degrees and then joined the family restaurant business with Dutch's parents, Skinny & Laura, at the Ranch Supper Club in Cou Falls, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons John and David; and son-in-law James Klinger. Survived by daughters Carol (Robert) Rudd & Diane Klinger, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life 8/15 5-7 PM at Klingers: 1307 85th Ave NE, Clyde Hill, WA; additional Celebration of LIfe 8/26 1-4 PM at Hotel Kirkwood, Cedar Rapids, IA.
Donations may go to American Red Cross.
I was Teed's hairdresser for many years. We could talk & laugh about anything! I missed her when they moved. My dad was Conservation officer for Johnson county (Wendell Simonson). Teed, Dutch & his parents knew my dad quite well. I loved Teed & will always remember her. RIP my friend. Becky Burns
