Jim went to his Lord on Monday May 22, 2023, after a long illness. Born in Cedar Falls, Iowa on Dec. 18, 1951 to Roscoe & Helen (nee Berg) Klinger, he went on to marry Diane Schlesselman in 1976 after they graduated from U of IA. They moved to Seattle & had 3 children. As an accomplished commercial Realtor, he specialized in large development land assemblages including Chandlers Cove, Fred Hutch, and The Commons Park & additional South Lake Union properties on behalf of Paul Allen's Vulcan Properties. He loved golfing with his buddies and making friends wherever he could. He was proactive in volunteering wherever possible; coaching school sport teams, participating in Rotary, JDRF and Fred Hutch fund raising and simply being a positive advocate of everyone he met, radiating a welcoming spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy & her husband John Hawtrey. & sister-in -law Judy (David). He is survived by his wife, brother David, 3 children Ross Klinger, Shayla Lester, Kenzie Kipper (Tony Bravo), and 7 grandchildren (Drew , Wes, Brennen, Raina, Jake, Capri, Beau).
