Shirley Mae Burdick (Morgan) passed away on September 29, 2023. She was born near Ione, CA, on January 23, 1947, to Lura and Lawrence Morgan. She was the baby of the family, with 5 older siblings. She married Donald Burdick on April 4, 1965, and settled in Manteca, CA. They welcomed five children over the years: Lee, Betty Joan, Deborah, Larry, and Chad.

Shirley began studying the Bible with Jehovahs Witness's in 1968. Learning what the scriptures taught about God and his promises for the future brought her great joy. One precious truth for her was the resurrection hope promised in John 5:28, 29 and Acts 24:15. Knowing that she would see deceased family members again was something that brought her great joy. After over 60 years of living in California, Don and Shirley moved to Washington in 2011. She loved to spent her time with friends and family in the preaching work teaching others about the Bible. She enjoyed visiting Edmonds beach, doing puzzles, playing solitaire, giraffes, butterfly's, and spending time with her grandchildren.

We look forward to seeing Shirley in God's promised new world! Until then we will miss her hugs, self-sacrificing spirit, generous heart, the evidence of her love for and faith in Jehovah, her sassiness, and so much more.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 58 years Donald, as well as her 4 children Lee, Debbie, Chad, and Larry, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
