Lance Jay Rasmussen age 71, of Idaho rejoined his Heavenly Father on Sunday, the 26 of November 2023

He was born November 15, 1952, to Jesse alma Rasmussen and Alice Lapreal Davis.

They moved to Utah when he was young and he spent most of his school years there. He settled down in Washington and it became his home.

He was the last of 6 children and the only boy. He served a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. He then joined the army. In the army he was in the artillery and then an airborne Green Beret. He had 4 children, Brook, Brian, Faith, and Amber. He loved them more then anything and he always wanted more of their time. He was a grandfather and a great grandfather. He had lots of nieces and nephews. His 5 big sisters taught him how to be cool and look sharp. He was a carpenter, a mechanic, and he also worked for the libraries and retired and kept busy as an Uber driver in Issaquah and all over the eastside.

He was a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews who have countless memories and tales of uncle Lance! Dave who cared for him in his last years and gave him a home to quietly pass said "He was selfless and he would drop everything to help. If you asked him to borrow something he would say " of course you can borrow it, I love you more than anything!"

"I would watch him fly down from the big sky. He was my bad ass mother's little brother. He hit hard and drove fast. He had a cool car and a motorcycle. I wanted to be just like him! He was the coolest guy ever, he always had a quick witted come back, and he usually had the last word while you stood there with a jaw dropped!"

He is joined by his parents, sisters and a army of cousins, aunts and Uncles to walk him down heaven's road.
