Donald Jack Schronen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 7, 1934 to Vera Bain Schronen and Clarence E. Schronen, the eldest of 4 children, and passed away in Bellevue, WA on October 6, 2024.
At age eleven the family moved to Sacramento, CA where he loved growing up in the late 40's and 50's. Some highlights were a first job at Vic's Ice Cream; a developing love of music from his father,
Broadway Music Circus, and the Sacramento origin of Tower Records.

He developed a continuing love of fishing and hunting through various mentors and friends. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and attended the University of Utah and Sacramento State College. In Sacramento he worked at Aerojet Rocketdyne, Allstate Insurance and Miles Laboratories with which a transfer brought him to Bellevue, WA. in 1971. He is survived by wife, Carol, son Paul/Susanna of Bellingham and daughter Laura of Kauai.
