Renee Christine Atkinson, born on July 11, 1986, at the University of Washington departed this world on October 20, 2024, at the young age of 38. Renee had been suffering for many years with Chronic Lyme Disease accompanied by many co-infections. Her condition ultimately caused a lot of irreversible physical, as well as emotional damage. Despite the pain and life restrictions, Renee was always our fun-loving daughter, sister, auntie and best friend until the end...

In her earlier years she loved playing soccer and softball and played for most of her childhood. She was quick to excel in anything she loved or enjoyed. She was always a great student having no issues being known as the "teachers' pet". Renee's happiness was to make others laugh and be happy. She was always such a joy to be around and when she walked into the room you knew there were about to be some memorable moments made.

In her older years she would start to work with children with special needs. She did this for many years and excelled in this by going through certification classes to advance her skill. She was blessed with the gift of caring for children in such a beautiful way and children absolutely loved her. For many years she worked closely with families in the Snoqualmie Valley. Later in life this would overflow into her seeking out support groups to help others by sharing her knowledge on similar health journeys to her own. She also enjoyed travelling and had a way of connecting with people wherever she was. Whether it be through travel or online, Renee had an amazing way of making lifelong friendships throughout the years.

Her last pets were her two cats "Moo" and "Milton". Milton was a baby stray that she had found in the middle of a busy intersection in the city of Milton. She of course had no hesitation in rescuing him and giving him a loving home. She always had an incredible amount of passion and care for her family and friends. Her loved ones were her priority. Her high energy was always enough to keep everyone having a good time. Her outspokenness showed her honesty and passionate side of who she truly was. She wore her heart on her sleeve and loved very deeply. She was an extremely beautiful soul with more love to give than the average person.

Renee is preceded in death by her father, Steven Stewart Atkinson of North Bend and brother, Mark Daryl Atkinson of Seattle.

She is survived by her mother Denise Renee Atkinson of North Bend.
Grandmother Geraldine Ann Junak of California. Her siblings, Michele Diann Atkinson-Hell (Wayne) of Alaska, Stephenie Helene Atkinson and Kimberly Grace Atkinson (Kerry) of North Bend. Her nephews and nieces, James Wesley Atkinson (Zhanna) of Alaska, Travis Michael Whitton (Jessielene) of Alaska, Alexis Ann Adams (RJ) of North Bend, Adam Joseph Crape (Yevnika) of Alaska, Bearit Hunter VanWolvelaere (Becca) of Ronald, Kaily Grace Tofilau (Jake) of Alaska, Kaleb Nesta Hopes of North Bend and her Great nephews, Twins Asher and Weston Adams of North Bend, and Great Nieces Auri Rosalina Witton and Eliana Michele Crape of Alaska. Her Aunts Geraldine, Cleo and Lorna. Her cousins Tracy, Eric, Leah, Josh, Nicole and Britney.
Renee will be honored at the North Fork Farm for a celebration of life in Snoqualmie, WA on November 17th, 2024 at noon. The Atkinson family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring amount of love
and support that has been shown throughout this difficult time. Renee was loved by so many and will be incredibly missed.
